Soroptimist grant applications available to community groups

Provided to the Tribune

Soroptimist Community Service Grant applications are available for the 2007-2008 Community Service Grants program of the Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe Foundation.

Community organizations are encouraged to submit creative grant proposals that will create a lasting benefit for women and/or youth in the community.

Deadline for receipt of applications is Oct. 31.

The Community Service Grants program began in 1997 as an equitable way for the Soroptimist club to award funding requests received from many worthy community groups.
