South Lake K-Mart not on list slated for closure

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – South Lake Tahoe’s K-Mart will not be closed by parent company Sears Holdings.

The company released the list of closures Friday. Three California Sears stores will close while no Nevada locations will be impacted.

Sears Holdings announced earlier this month that they will close up to 120 K-Mart and Sears stores after low sales. The closures are expected to save the company between $140 million and $170 million.
