South Lake Tahoe bicyclist hit, police look for culprit

A 22-year-old South Lake Tahoe man was injured Wednesday at 5 p.m. when a white compact car hit him as he rode his bike home from work on Ski Run Boulevard, police reported.

Paramedics took Adrian Olsenbeinema to Barton Memorial Hospital with a dislocated shoulder and cuts after he was hit by the right side of the car. He was biking home from his job at Tahoe Sport Fishing at Ski Run Marina.

Police said they found a side mirror from the car at the scene but could not locate any witnesses.

The car was traveling westbound across Ski Run Boulevard or turning right onto Tamarack Avenue, police reported.

Olsenbeinema had a broken arm in a cast before he was hit by the car, police said.

Anyone who has information about the hit and run please contact South Lake Tahoe Police at 542-6100 or call Secret Witness at 541-6800.
