South Lake Tahoe Christmas tree and Menorah lighting ceremony on Friday

Stopping through the snow with free rides from Borges Sleigh and Carriage Rides for the Annual Community Holiday Celebration and the Tree and Menorah Lighting Ceremony.

Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and their elves will be on hand for the annual Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority Christmas Tree and Menorah Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 5 from 5-7 p.m.

Winter festivities include:

” Free sleigh/carriage rides from Borges Sleigh and Carriage Rides.

Support Local Journalism

” Music by Derek Tarpey, Lake DJ, and carols sung by Tahoe Elementary and Intermediate Schools Honor Choir.

” Complimentary hot chocolate, cider and cookies. Popcorn available for purchase, with proceeds benefiting the Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care.

” Food and Toy drive – please bring donations for “Christmas Cheer”.

” Santa will be available for picture taking – please be certain to bring your own camera.

The event will be held at the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority (LTVA) Visitors Center, across from the Tahoe Daily Tribune, 3066 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Shore Lake Tahoe.
