South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue holding annual Open House

This Saturday, South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue will open the doors to the public at Fire Station 1 and 3 in honor of National Fire Prevention Week.
South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue’s Annual Open House is Oct. 12 from 10-2 p.m.
Light refreshments will be provided at each of the stations.
This is a great opportunity to take a tour of two local fire stations.
This event will give you fire safety tips including learning about ways out of your home in a fire emergency.
There will also be information on the new Life Vest loaner program, safety handouts and giveaways for all. At Fire station #1 (1252 Ski Run Blvd), you can participate in the fire extinguisher prop and hands only CPR training. There will be life safety information, tours, static displays of apparatus and giveaways. Learn home safety tips with the Ember House.
At Fire Station #3 (2101 Lake Tahoe Blvd), Smokey Bear will make an appearance. There will also be information about defensible space for your home along with life safety information, tours, static displays of apparatus and giveaways. Learn about the Life Vest loaner program safety and use.
Come this Saturday to either fire station to learn about fire prevention and safety while meeting some of the heroes in our community.
