South Lake Tahoe founding father, former mayor Lester Nagy dies

Lester S. Nagy, founding member and mayor of the city of South Lake Tahoe, longtime businessman, and community leader died March 17, 2008, in Reno, Nev. He was 97.

Nagy was born Aug. 26, 1911, in Harrisburg, Pa., and had been a resident of South Lake Tahoe since 1944.

Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. March 25 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, followed by interment at Happy Homestead Cemetery and a reception at St. Theresa.
