SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — Five televisions were stolen after unidentified suspects gained access to five unoccupied rooms at the Best Western Station House Inn.

The reported burglaries occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and 5:45 a.m. Saturday, South Lake Tahoe Police Department Lt. Dave Stevenson said Monday.

No additional items appeared to be missing from the rooms, General Manager of the Hotel Eric Eymanm said Tuesday.

The suspects appear to have gained access to the rooms by using a master key. There was not immediately any leads on suspects.

Eymanm said staff made adjustments to update security and secure the rooms. He added the hotel had not had any similar problems in about 15 years.

It was not clear how the culprits gained access to the keys.

The case is still under investigation, Stevenson said.
