South Lake Tahoe library plans numerous activities

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library, 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd., has several activities planned throughout April. For more information, call (530) 573-3185.

— Friday Preschool Story Time: 11 a.m. April 4. It will feature stories and activities focusing on movement and exercise. Students and instructors from Blue Lake Aikido will present a demonstration of their special ways of moving and exercising.

— Saturday Family Story Time: 11 a.m. April 5. The fun-filled bi-lingual story time is a great way to introduce your child to a new language. Join Cecelia for stories, games, crafts and snacks.

— Please note: There will be a “spring break” in the Friday and Saturday story time schedules during the month of April. No programs will be presented April 11, 12, 18 and 19.

— Spin a Yarn: 1 p.m. April 5. Join our informal monthly gathering of knitters and crocheters. Crafters of all ages and experience are welcome.

— Friends of the Library: Noon April 10. Would you like to show your support for your local library? Why not join the Friends of the Library?

— Movies @ Your Library: While story time is on “spring break,” join us for two movies by Walt Disney with a family-friendly G rating. At 11 a.m. April 11, view the delightful tale of the mouse with a knack for fine cooking. At 11 a.m. April 18, enjoy the beloved Disney classic about a mutt and a ladylike cocker spaniel. The shows are free, and refreshments will be served. For more information, call (530) 573-3185.

— Introduction to Computers class: If you are looking for a fast and easy introduction to using e-mail, this is the place for you. This two-hour class will give you the skills you need to use your computer. Space is limited, so sign up today.
