On the heels of a substantial donation to Tahoe Youth and Family Services during the holiday season, South Lake Tahoe philanthropist Lisa Maloff presented a $150,000 check to the organization this past week.

As she gave the check to TYFS officials, Maloff remarked: “The work you do for our children and young people is so important. I’m happy to help!”

In December Maloff donned her Mrs. Santa Claus costume to hand out gifts to more than 100 area children and donated $75,000 to help TYFS provide critical services.

“Mrs. Lisa Maloff is an exemplary example of personal generosity and dedication to our community,” Pam Wheeler, TYFS board president, said in a press release. “She inspires me to be involved and contribute what I can whether it be volunteering, mentoring or donating. Her donation allows us to continue providing services and also gives us the platform to make others aware of what we do. Challenge yourself — what can you do to support Tahoe youth and our community? Thank you Mrs. Maloff, the Angel of Tahoe.”
