Wendy David elected to serve as South Lake Tahoe mayor in 2018

South Lake Tahoe City Council on Tuesday, Dec. 12, unanimously selected Wendy David to serve as mayor for the next year. Council also unanimously selected Tom Davis to serve as mayor pro tem for the next year. Austin Sass served as mayor during the past year, while David served as mayor pro tem. Each year City Council selects a mayor and mayor pro tem from among its members.

South Lake Tahoe City Council on Tuesday, Dec. 12, unanimously selected Wendy David to serve as mayor for the coming year.

Council also unanimously selected Tom Davis to serve as mayor pro tem.

David intends to host several community outreach efforts on a monthly basis, according to a press release. David said she would like to host a "Let's have a Conversation" format at local coffee establishments with herself and at least one other council member on the Wednesday's following City Council meetings.

Dates and times will be provided to the community once they are confirmed.

"If anyone knows me, I believe in collaboration. I am looking forward to working as a strong five member council and it's a privilege to work with this council and with all city staff," David said.
