South Shore economic forum to be held

Provided to the Tribune

Tahoe Prosperity Center and TahoeChamber will host a South Shore economic forum on March 5.

The topic of this year’s forum is “The Future of South Shore – Next Steps.” The topic resulted from a vision for economic revitalization that was discussed by sectors of the community in an October meeting.

Business, government, education, transportation, recreation, and healthcare leaders will be sharing their plans, ideas and projects that are focused on economic revitalization on the South Shore, a press release stated. The forum is all about connecting the dots between projects that are moving Tahoe toward prosperity.

The forum will begin with a reception at 5 p.m. followed by the presentations at 6 p.m. at Embassy Suites, 4130 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees will be asked to participate by sharing their ideas and identifying significant community infrastructure needs or initiatives.
