South Shore hurricane relief fund-raisers

n A garage sale on Saturday will donate its proceeds to Red Cross for the hurricane relief effort on the Gulf Coast. The sale is at the home of Daunelle Wulstein, 1551 Pioneer Trail, and will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

— Alpine Animal Hospital at 921 Emerald Bay Road is accepting donations and checks for the American Red Cross to go toward Hurricane Katrina efforts. Call (530) 541-4040.

— Tahoe Daily Tribune auction for hurricane relief. To donate goods or services to auction off call (530) 542-8047 or e-mail Date and time of auction to be announced.

— Animal Coalition of Tahoe will have a table set up at the Lake Tahoe Airport on Saturday at the Air Fest air show and will accept donations for Best Friends, a national pet sanctuary, which is sending volunteers to locate animals in the hurricane ravaged Gulf Coast.
