Electronic music fans can double the fun this August with a newly expanded Bass Camp Festival.

The festival, now in its fourth year, grows to two days in 2016 and will take place outdoors Aug. 6-7 behind Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe.

More than four dozen electronic acts will play three stages this year’s festival, which features the return of the Dancetronauts fire-spewing art car of a sound stage.

“We’re definitely trying to grow this event into a major festival in Lake Tahoe,” said Bass Camp promoter Paul Reder on Wednesday. “We have plans to expand it and grow it even bigger.”

Illinois dance duo Krewella headlines Saturday’s festivities, and British trio Nero closes the festival Sunday with a DJ set.

Hermitude, Borgeous, Figure and Protohype, Arty, Chill Harris, Justin Jay and Friends, Alvin Risk, Nightowls, Donald Glaude, Aaron Jackson, Kayon and Fight Club are also among the acts scheduled to perform.

Justin Jay bringing in performers from his albums for a live set and Figure and Protohype debuting a new back-to-back set where they alternate songs that they’ll soon take on tour are likely to be among the highlights of this year’s festival, which features a variety of electronic dance music genres, Reder said.

Attendees to this year’s festival will also have an added amenity — a grass field.

Reder said Bass Camp will install a temporary 10,000-square-foot lawn behind Hard Rock following feedback from 2015 festival-goers.

“We listened and we’re bringing it in,” Reder said.

A similar setup will also be used for the Lake Tahoe Reggae Festival at Hard Rock Aug. 20, he added.

Two-day general admission tickets to Bass Camp are on sale now for $129 plus fees. Two-day VIP tickets are $199 plus fees.
