South Tahoe 10-11 All-Stars drop district opener

Tribune News Service

CARSON CITY – Garret Harley threw five innings of four-hit baseball, but it wasn’t enough, as South Lake Tahoe’s 10-11-year-old all-star team fell 4-1 to Carson City in the Little League district tournament Thursday night at Governors Field.

For the first three innings, Harley matched Carson City’s Jace Keema pitch-for-pitch. Keema finished with a one-hitter, allowing just a fifth-inning single to Colin Buchholz.

Carson snapped the scoreless tie in the fourth when Henry Loos drove in Tez Allen, who had reached on a fielder’s choice. Carson added two more in the fifth on a two-run double by Jesse Lopez.

South Tahoe didn’t get a runner past second base the entire game.
