South Tahoe grads plan to tie the knot

South Tahoe High School graduates Rachel Romero and Jason Paul plan to be married in July 2007.

Rachel Romero and Jason L. Paul have announced their engagement and plan to be married July 7, 2007.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Paul and Jacquelyn Romero of South Lake Tahoe. She is a 2000 graduate of South Tahoe High School, received an associate of arts degree from Lake Tahoe Community College in 2002, and earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism from California State University, Long Beach, last year. She is employed by McP’s Pub as a bartender.

The future bridegroom is the son of Russell and Terri Paul and Wanda and Chris Stanley, all of South Lake Tahoe. He is a 1998 graduate of South Tahoe High School, received an associate of arts degree in music and liberal arts from Lake Tahoe Community College, and was awarded a professional certificate in percussion in 2004 from the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood. He is a musician/drummer for the band Shameus.

The bride and bridegroom attended Meyers Elementary School, South Tahoe Middle School and South Tahoe High School together. They started dating when Rachel was attending Long Beach State and Jason was at the Musician’s Institute. They live in South Lake Tahoe.
