South Tahoe library offers students chance to win prizes for entire class

September is National Library Card Sign-up Month and the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library is celebrating by offering elementary school students a chance to win a prize for their whole class and their teacher. Just visit the South Lake Tahoe Branch Library during the month of September with a parent, and either sign-up for a new library card, or show an existing library card. Every student, kindergarten through fifth grade, will receive a prize just for participating and will be entered in a drawing on Oct. 1 to win a class pizza party and a $100 classroom supply gift certificate for the teacher. The more students in each class that sign up, the better chance that class has of winning the party. For more information, call 530-573-3185.
