South Tahoe posts its best ROTC score

Cadets from the South Tahoe High School Naval Junior ROTC program competed in Fallon, Nev., on April 28 against NJROTC cadets from Carson, Churchill Count and Reed high schools.

South Tahoe won three first-place trophies in the 10 team events, which included competition in pushups, sit-ups, sprints and distance running. Cadet Aricela Ramos also won a first-place medal for winning the mile run in the female division.

This was the best performance the South Tahoe program had had in this meet, which started in 1996, according to Lt. Cmdr. Matt Williams, naval science instructor.
