Skin & Hair Wellness Center and Spa is collecting new and like-new skincare and haircare products March 1 to May 1 to donate to the South Lake Tahoe Women’s Center.

For the past seven years, owner Valerie Conners has hosted the charitable event to benefit the Women’s Center, which serves women and families in South Lake Tahoe through services that address domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and basic needs.

Conners said the Women’s Center usually makes Mother’s Day baskets for the women with the donated toiletries.

“They have it there for these women who have nothing when they come,” Conners said. “They have no toiletries.”

For every three or more products donated, Conners will offer 20 percent off any retail item in the store that day.

For information, contact Conners at (530) 544-8545. Skin & Hair Wellness Center and Spa is located at 1017 Carson Ave., Suite 6.
