Skin & Hair Wellness Center and Spa participated in Breast Cancer Awareness month by donating 5 percent of its proceeds from services during October to Barton Memorial Hospital Foundation.

The business raised $600, which they donated to help women in the community. Skin & Hair Wellness Center and Spa plans to make this a yearly event to help support the community and raise awareness.

Breast Cancer affects one out of eight women in the U.S., making it the second most common form of cancer in American women. Early detection and treatment can greatly increase the survival rate of those affected.
