The South Lake Tahoe Branch of the American Association of University Women will hold a special program at 11:30 a.m. today, at The Fresh Ketch Restaurant.

The October luncheon meeting will feature Marie Wolbach, the originator of the Tech Trek Science Camp for Girls, a project of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) of California.

With a background in nursing, Marie Wolbach returned to college when her children were young and earned a bachelor’s of science degree with honors in medical sociology. In that role, she has taught premedical students, worked as a campus advisor, and assisted in founding the Friends of the Court Conservators program in Santa Clara County.

Marie is sure to present an interesting and informative program. Any member of the community who is interested in attending this luncheon program is welcomed to make reservations by calling Terri Jinkens, programs chair, at (530) 544-5183. The luncheon costs $18 and is all inclusive.
