Speakers panel to discuss walkable, bikeable communities

Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and Tahoe Metropolitan Planning Organization will host a speakers panel Thursday, July 26, at Lake Tahoe Community College.

The panel will consist of Myles Rademan, director of information for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Park City, Utah; and Michael Ronkin, former bicycle and pedestrian program manager for the Oregon Department of Transportation, who is credited with helping transform Portland, Ore., into one of the most bicycle-friendly cities in the nation. The evening speakers’ panels will also feature local community experts in planning and transportation issues.

The panel will be held from 5-8 p.m. at the college board room in South Lake Tahoe.
