Team Tahoe Special Olympics is seeking volunteers and coaches to assist in training softball, swimming, bowling, track and field athletes.

According to a release, people who enjoy the spirit of giving and teamwork are sought.

Special Olympics are for people who are different because they learn new skills slowly. They may not understand ideas that other people learn easily. They are different in other ways as well. The goal of Special Olympics is to reach out to the 200 million people in the world with ID.

Trainings and competitions happen year round in more than 170 countries and here in South Lake Tahoe.

Volunteers are all ages and your commitment can range from an afternoon to a lifetime.

If you are interested in volunteering or coaching call Colleen at 530 600-1730.
