Team Palisades skier AJ Hurt to take O’Brien spot in Olympic slalom
TRUCKEE, Calif. – Team Palisades skier AJ Hurt will be taking Nina O’Brien’s place in the Olympic Slalom competition, U.S. Ski and Snowboard said in an email.
“Coach Magnus Andersson say, ‘she is ready,’” the email stated.
O’Brien crashed during her Giant Slalom race which left her with injuries that will prevent her from competing for the rest of the Olympics.
The race is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 9. The first runs will start at 6:15 p.m. and the second runs will begin at 9:45 p.m. PST.
