The Buddy Werner Youth Ski League has two registration dates for the upcoming season, the first being today from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena. The second registration date is on Thursday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the ice arena.

Skiers must be between the ages of 7 and 14 and can’t be in the ninth grade. Participants must be able to stop, turn and load and unload by chairlifts. All practices and races are on Sunday, beginning Dec. 13 at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

The fee for one skier is $75, two skiers is $140 and three skiers within the same family $195. Registration costs do not include lift tickets or season passes.



There is a $25 late charge for registering after Nov. 20.

The league is also looking for volunteers but require background checks. There is a $14 fee for the background check.
