Fallon upends STHS frosh

Jacob Stowell rushed for 65 yards and scored the Vikings’ lone touchdown, but it wasn’t enough as the South Tahoe freshman football team lost to Fallon 28-7 last Thursday.

Stowell also contributed eight tackles and an interception on defense, with Scott Pearce also intercepting a pass. Quarterback Tyler Nesbitt threw for 45 yards, rushed for 15 more and added 17 tackles on the defensive end.

Other defensive stars for the Vikings were Pierce Bickert (13 tackles), Joe Zanatell (11 tackles, sack, forced fumble) and Ian Fonken (seven tackles).

South Tahoe (2-4) returns to action on Thursday when it plays at Douglas.
