Silver Oak men’s golf club tees it for 2018 season

The Silver Oak Senior Men's Golf Club has officially teed it up for the 2018 golf season.

The men's club is open to golfers 55 years of age and older and all handicap levels. Dues are $75, that includes membership and handicap posting in the Northern Nevada Golf Association GHIN service.

Members are entitled to reduced green fees anytime you play Silver Oak in 2018. The season tees off at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3. There will be coffee and donuts served opening day at 8 a.m. along with a short informational meeting.

The men's club plays every Tuesday morning, April through October.

Various formats are scheduled throughout the season and a few new ones will be introduced this year. Each week's tournament employs a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. in April, 8 a.m. May through September, and 9 a.m. in October.

Weekly games and closest to pin contests are available each week. Three travel days to courses in northern Nevada and California are scheduled this season.
