Calling all metal heads: Whiskey Dick’s is the place to be this weekend.

The annual Spring Meltdown returns to the South Lake Tahoe establishment for two days of some of the best metal around.

“Spring Meltdown is back in 2019 and returns to Whiskey Dicks in South Lake Tahoe for two days of the raddest underground bands in the U.S. and once again this bill is stacked with all the homies in the heavy music scene,” states the event description on http://www.eventbrite.com.

This will be the 12th time for the event, produced by Born Dead Productions, in 13 years. It has jumped around from venue to venue during that time.

Day 1 of this year’s Spring Meltdown gets underway at 5:30 p.m. Friday and runs until 1:30 a.m.

The lineup for that first day includes: Shark in the Water; Purification By Fire; Wastewalker; Downcypher; Nihil Futurum; Wurm Flesh; Rajiu; Desecrated Humanity; Dead Things; and Condemned Existence.

Day 2 kicks off at 12:30 p.m. and features: Cyborg Octopus; Earth Crawler; Four Stroke Barren; Blasphemous Creation; Black Plague Wolves; Lost to the Void; Osmium; From the Ruins; Arcane Existance; Unprovoked; Cursed; Oppressor God; Mortal Ashes; Represa; and Hyonitic Death.

Tickets for both days are available for $35 (plus a fee) at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/spring-meltdown-2019.

Single day tickets also are available online — Friday tickets are $17 and Saturday tickets are $20 (plus a fee).
