St. Baldrick’s says thanks

I am both honored and humbled by the outpouring of love and support for the 2013 St. Baldrick’s Event that was held last Friday night at the South Tahoe Ice Arena.

I can’t even begin to thank all the people that gave so generously to help children suffering from Childhood Cancer. Special thanks goes to the Heath Foundation, Heavenly/Vail Resorts (Pete Sonntag and Nancy McCoy), the South Tahoe Ice Arena (Van Oleson, Chris Cefalu and Shannon Beni), Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation, Dreu Murin, Bob the DJ, South Lake Tahoe Fire Department, Lake Tahoe Unified School District, Lake Valley Fire Department, Heavenly/Kirkwood Ski Patrols, Team Caitlyn, Tahoe Douglas Fire Department, Team Bailey’s Hope, all the wonderful Barbers from several salons, Gina Stowell Face Painting and the amazing individuals that helped to make this year’s event a whopping success.

We shaved 168 heads and preliminary figures, before post donations are applied, show of $46,750 has been raised. I, along with the No. NV Children’s Cancer Foundation, am so excited with the results of this awesome event for such a worthwhile cause. I can’t thank the wonderful, caring community of South Lake Tahoe enough.
