Stampedge overtakes Bighorns in fourth period

RENO – The Reno Bighorns held a four-point lead entering the fourth quarter Sunday afternoon, but the Idaho Stampede used a 31-20 fourth quarter edge to defeat Reno 110-103 in the Reno Events Center.

Luke Jackson, Antoine Walker and Jermareo Davidson poured in 25 points apiece for the Stampede (3-13) on a combined 26-39 effort from the field. Walker and Jackson connected on eight three-pointers in 12 attempts, while Davidson shot 9-12 from the floor for Idaho.



The back-and-forth affair saw eight lead changes and five ties, with neither team leading by more than 10 points. The Bighorns held a six-point lead early in the fourth quarter at 85-79, but Idaho outscored Reno 31-18 over the final eleven minutes to grab its first road win of the season.



The Bighorns were led by Marcus Landry, who connected on five three-pointers en route to a game-high 27 points. Golden State Warriors assignee Jeremy Lin scored 26 points and dished out five assists for Reno.

Reno plays host to the Eastern Conference-leading Iowa Energy on Wednesday to wrap up a three-game homestand. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in the Reno Events Center. Tickets are on-sale now.
