Stateline casinos post gaming gain in June

Staff report

Gaming numbers for the casinos in Stateline showed the highest percentage increase in Nevada during June.

According to numbers released Tuesday, Stateline saw a 44-percent increase over June 2014, raking in $17.6 million.

June 2014 saw the casinos bring in $12.2 million during the month. At least two casinos were under renovation last year.

June also was the last month of the fiscal year, with Stateline posting a 5.66 percent increase, also the largest in the state.

The Carson Valley area, which includes East Fork Township and Carson City posted a 4.01-percent increase over June 2013, with a $8.2 million win. That puts the area up 2.8 percent up for the year at $99.5 million.

Both areas combined are only a fraction of the $11 billion Nevada casinos took in between July 1, 2014, and June 30.

More than half, $6.3 billion, was won in the Las Vegas Strip alone. All of Washoe County took in $765 million. Stateline casinos brought in $262 million during the year.
