STHS frosh boys go 1-2 for weekend

The surging South Tahoe High boys’ freshman basketball team continued its winning ways on Friday, trouncing Truckee 47-23 .

South Tahoe took a 24-10 halftime lead, then opened the second half with a 17-3 tear.

Darius Crayton scored 13 points for the Vikings, while Jared Fajman netted nine.

On Saturday, South Tahoe’s frosh team lost a pair of close games to Lowry and Truckee in South Lake Tahoe.

Lowry upended South Tahoe 47-44 in a game where the participants never led by more than six points. Crayton scored 15 points and Fajman 10 for South Tahoe.

The Wolverines avenged Friday’s defeat with a 42-39 triumph. Crayton netted 10 points and Dominic Diana nine.
