STHS frosh team places third in State Farm tournament

On Wednesday, South Tahoe High’s freshman boys’ basketball team wrapped up one of the school’s most impressive tournament performances for that level this decade.

The Vikings trounced Reno 60-45 to finish third in the State Farm Holiday Classic at North Valleys High School in Reno.

Ten of the Vikings’ 12-player roster scored. Kyante Wilson led the way with 13 points, followed by Bobby Perez with 10 and Brandon Cramer with seven.

South Tahoe, which was 3-1 at the tournament, has a 7-5 season record.
