STHS grad headed to South Korea

Pvt. Christopher Herzog has successfully completed 17 weeks of Army Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at the United States Army Installation at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. He departs Dec. 17 for his first duty station in South Korea.

The son of Lynn and Mike Ervin of South Lake Tahoe, and Richard Herzog of El Dorado Hills, Calif., he is a 2002 graduate of South Tahoe High School.

Herzog trained as a member of the 795th Military Police Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, completing training in weapons, clinical & biological combat training anti terrorism training, confidence courses, Swat team and self-defense. He earned and expert medal in hand grenades and marksman medals in pistol and rifle.
