STHS graduate weds, then returns to grad school
Nicole Conlon and Tim Bain exchanged wedding vows June 29 in a garden ceremony at the Conlon residence overlooking the meadow. The 2:30 p.m. double-ring ceremony was performed by Minister Dave Congo and witnessed by 130 family members and friends.
The bride is the daughter of William Patrick and Jean Anne Conlon of South Lake Tahoe and the bridegroom’s parents are John and Sarah Bain of Rancho Santa Marguerita, Calif.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a white, floor-length A-line Christos-designed gown of silk organza with crystal beading. She wore a beaded cathedral–length veil and carried a bouquet of mini-calla lilies, roses and berries.
Maid of honor was Heidi Hosman of South Lake Tahoe and bridesmaids were Michelle Zerfus of Dana Point,Calif., May Calaja of Venice Beach, Calif., and Rachel Antrobus of Anaheim, Calif. Each attendant wore a coral-colored, off-the shoulder gown and carried long-stemmed mini-calla lilies.
Best man was the bridegroom’s brother, Alec Bain of Orlando,Fla., and groomsmen were Greg Cascarini of Temecula, Calif., Ryan Walker of Newport Beach, Calif., and the bride’s brother, Chad Conlon of South Lake Tahoe.
Other members of the wedding party were Jeni Peterson of Mukilteo, Wash., junior bridesmaid; Keaton Slansky of Edmonds, Wash., junior groomsman; Kennedy Michael of Mukilteo,., flower girl; Drake Slansky of Edmonds, ring bearer; and Alexandria Bain of Tenton, Mo., violinist.
Following the ceremony a reception was hosted by the bride’s parents at the Edgewood Tahoe Clubhouse.
Upon their return from a one-week wedding trip to Jamaica, the newlyweds established their home at Shoreline, Wash.
The bride graduated from South Tahoe High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University in 1997, and a master’s degree in psychology from Pepperdine University in 1999. She currently is pursuing a doctorate in psychology at the University of Washington and is a research analyst and preschool teacher at Mukilteo Academy.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Trabuco Hills High School at Mission Viejo, Calif., and received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1998. He is employed as area manager by the 7-11 Corporation.
