Sting and Peter Gabriel are set to bring their Rock Paper Scissors Tour to Lake Tahoe’s South Shore this summer.

Harveys Lake Tahoe announced Tuesday that the tour will make a stop at the Harveys Outdoor Arena Friday, July 15.

“Having first toured together in the eighties for Amnesty International, Rock Paper Scissors will find Peter Gabriel and Sting performing both separately and together, playing their own songs as well as melding their bands to explore each other’s most celebrated hits,” according to an announcement for the tour stop.

“I’m very happy that we’re taking the chance to experiment this way,” Sting said in the announcement. “I think people will be intrigued, I certainly am.”

“What intrigues me is that you get a good bunch of musicians together and interesting things will happen,” added Gabriel.

Harveys presale tickets will be available online from 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24. “TOTAL” is the password for the presale.

Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25.

Ticket prices to the show are $97.56, $147.70 and $277.95 and can be purchased at http://www.ticketmaster.com and http://www.apeconcerts.com.

Also a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he received the Kennedy Center Honors in December of 2014. Throughout his career, he has sold close to 100 million albums from his combined work with the Police and as a solo artist.

About Peter Gabriel

Peter Gabriel first came to international prominence with the success of Genesis, a band that he co-founded while still at school. Since leaving Genesis in 1975, his recording career has included 11 studio albums, film soundtracks for Alan Parker’s “Bird,” Martin Scorsese’s “The Last Temptation of Christ” and Philip Noyce’s “Rabbit Proof Fence,” as well as numerous live albums.
