Stolen bicycle recovered

A $2,000 custom bike with hydraulics and a chain-link steering wheel were stolen and later recovered when tips led authorities to four juveniles in possession of stolen goods Sunday, a South Lake Tahoe police officer said.

The bike was taken from the porch of a residence on Blackwood Road sometime between Friday and Sunday, the officer said.

A neighbor gave authorities information that led them to two 14-year-old and two 13-year-old boys. The bike was recovered, two stolen speakers found and a box of tools spotted, the officer said.

The boys were cited, fingerprinted and released to their parents, the officer said.
