STPUD rate increase to be discussed Thursday

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The South Tahoe Public Utility District’s Board of Directors will discuss the district’s Water and Sewer Enterprise budgets at a public meeting Thursday.

A 3 percent increase in sewer service charges is included in the proposed sewer budget. The proposed water budget does not include a rate increase.

At Thursday’s meeting, district staff will discuss revenue projections and proposed operating and capital expenditures. The board will not take action on the budget. The final budget will be considered for adoption at the board’s May 19 meeting.

Thursday’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. at district offices. The offices are located at 1275 Meadow Crest Drive in South Lake Tahoe.
