Students heading back to South Tahoe schools Aug. 30

The first day of school for the Lake Tahoe Unified School district for the 2010-’11 year is Monday, Aug. 30. For information, call the individual school or visit the district’s website at http://www.ltusd.org.

South Tahoe High School is hosting an open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday to display the new construction. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at noon at the new Stadium View building overlooking the football field.

Whittell High School in Zephyr Cove started school Monday. Zephyr Cove Elementary School started last week. For information, visit dcsd.k12.nv.us.
