Students prepared a feast

The children of Tahoe Montessori school worked hard to prepare their own Thanksgiving feast of applesauce, stuffed celery, cranberries, whipped butter, pumpkin pudding, popcorn and turkey.
The children worked on the food preparation two days before Thanksgiving and enjoyed a day of Thanksgiving celebration Nov. 23, with teachers and parents helping out.
All the children were encouraged to try each food and were educated on the type of food the pilgrims ate and the kind of utensils they used.
This was a great way to educate the children and to teach them about history hands-on.
