Susan Desrosiers’ second-and third-grade class from Zephyr Cove Elementary School came to the Lake Tahoe Branch Library in Zephyr Cove on March 31 to have an ice cream party. They earned the party by being the only class in the county that got 100 percent participation in getting their public library cards. The Friends of the Library sponsored the event. The children chose to make their own ice cream in coffee cans and then top it with sprinkles, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, nuts and cherries.
