Sully Sullenberger to speak at Lake in the Sky Air Show

Chesley Burnett “Sully” Sullenberger III will be the guest speaker during the pre-flight party for the 2012 Lake in the Sky Air Show.

Sullenberger became famous when he landed US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River on Jan. 15, 2009. Everyone aboard the aircraft survived.

He has since helped develop new protocols for airline safety. Sullenberger will speak on airline safety and host a signing his book, “Highest Duty.”



Musical performances by the Manhattan Dolls will also be held during the party.

Sullenberger will speak Aug. 24 during the party, which will be held from 6:30-9 p.m. at South Lake Tahoe Embassy Suites.
