Summer activities announced by SLT library

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library kicks off its summer events for children and adults with a Pajama Party for Preschoolers at 6:30 p.m. today. Kids should come in their pajamas and bring their favorite toy or blanket.

Other children’s programs this month include the Summer Reading Club for children through the eighth grade. Sign-ups begin June 26 and continue through the summer. Prizes will be given for each five hours of reading or being read to.

On June 29, Ed Middleton will present a Magic and Puppet Show at 2 p.m. This is the first of the library’s weekly programs for children of all ages.

This month’s adult program will be a slide presentation on the Tahoe Rim Trail at 7 p.m. June 20. Participants will learn about the trail and the volunteers who have worked on it.

The South Lake Tahoe Branch Library has nine free computers for internet use. For information on classes on e-mail, mouse tutorial and computer basics, call the library at (530) 573-3185.
