Summer theater available for youth

For children with interest in the performing arts, the Sierra Tahoe Children’s Theater will be offering its summer theater workshop for two weeks beginning June 15. The workshop is for students who are entering first-grade through ninth-grade. Participants will work on acting, singing, dancing, improvisation, auditioning and other theater skills and includes a performance at the end of the two week session. Everyone who participates in the workshop will be cast in this year’s production The Wizard Of Oz. Sierra Tahoe Children’s Theater is under the direction of Liz Niven and Marcia Sarosik and past participants in the workshop have gone on to leading roles in high school, college and professional theater. Both directors are committed to providing an excellent performing arts experience for children in the community. To enroll, email stwkshop@gmail.com or call 541-7211.
