Suspected drunken driver arrested

The Nevada Highway Patrol arrested a 23-year-old South Lake Tahoe woman on suspicion of drunken driving after she allegedly flipped the Nissan Xterra she was driving on Kingsbury Grade near North Benjamin early Thursday morning.

After hitting a guardrail with the vehicle and landing in a ditch on the side about 1 a.m., the woman reportedly fled the scene of the crash in a taxi cab.

The woman was later located at a residence on Bigler Court and taken into custody after a cab driver reported picking her up near the scene of the crash and taking her to the residence on Bigler, according to an El Dorado County Sheriff’s deputy report.
