Sweetest event of the year this weekend in Genoa

Join the historic town of Genoa Sept. 29 and 30 for the annual Candy Dance Arts and Crafts Faire.

A total of 371 booths will be available for shopping in Genoa Park and the Morman Station Park. New this year is a Children’s Shopping Court, where children can have their faces painted.

Many varieties of food and beverages will be available in the Food Court at the firehouse on Main Street and the Mini-food Court in Genoa Park.

Tickets to the dance are $15 and include a complimentary buffet. Music will be provided by Eddie D and The Cruisers, who will play swing, country and rock ‘n’ roll. For tickets call (775) 782-8696.

Roads through town will be closed but continuous shuttle buses from the parking lots, a holding area for large and small parcels and Genoa T-shirts will be available.

Volunteer candy makers are still needed in the town kitchen, Learn how to make candy and have fun at the same time from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
