Synagogue to host Hanukkah celebration

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Temple Bat Yam, the Jewish Community of South Lake Tahoe and Valley Regions will be celebrating Shabbat and Hanukkah on Dec. 23.

The celebration will begin at 5:45 p.m. with a short Shabbat service, singing by the South Lake Tahoe Children’s Choral Society, games and latkes (fried potato pancakes).

Attendees should bring a gift for children up to 12 years old to be donated to the Tahoe Women’s Center. Bring it wrapped with a note attached stating its contents.
