Tahoe Action this week: Exploration trek; Comedian Steve Hofstetter at Harrah’s; SkiiTour with Rambo at CBC

Echo Lakes Exploration Snowshoe Trek 

The Sugar Pine Foundation and Tahoe Rim Trail Association are teaming up for an afternoon snowshoe trek to Echo Lake. The exploration costs $5 to join and will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Echo Lake Sno-Park. 

The trip is approximately 4 miles round-trip, heading to Lower Echo Summit. Along the way, experts and friends at the Sugar Pine Foundation will provide information about the trees and touch on the effects of the Caldor Fire. 



Lunch will be had at the lodge, but will not be provided. Be sure to bring water, food, thick clothing, sunscreen, and snowshoes. Snowshoes will be available to borrow if needed.

Comedian Steve Hofstetter at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe 

Don’t miss comedian Steve Hofstetter at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe in the South Shore Room at 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, on his Comedy Without Apology tour. 

Tickets to this 21-plus show are on sale starting at $22.47, with prices subject to change. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Hofstetter is one of the top-booked acts on the college circuit, the original writer for collegehumor.com, and has also released six albums. He’s written humor columns for the New York Times, SportsIllustrated.com, and NHL.com

SkiiTour with Rambo At Crystal Bay Club Casino 

The Crystal Bay Club Casino will be hosting SkiiTour with Rambo on their “Falling Into Winter Tour” at 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, in the Crown Room. 

Doors to this 21-plus show will open at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $25 in advanced and $40 the day of the show. 

SkiiTour is a DJ and production duo that hail from the ski-bum capital of the world, Whistler, BC. The duo is made-up of party-rocking Tim and Canosis, who differ in personality but gel musically. They originally began to collaborate in 2010, and have continued to develop their sound since.

Angry Lizard Noise at Alibi Ale Works 

Angry Lizard Noise will be playing at Alibi Ale Works Incline Pubic House from 9-11 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, for free.
Angry Lizard Noise is a band born and raised in the Truckee area that play original music with a few surprise covers mixed in. Their genres range from rock and funk to folk and country. The band is made up of Elijah Roller, Sam Deden, and Jordon Brown.
