The Tahoe Art League is nonprofit art organization serving the South Lake Tahoe area since 1964. As part of our ongoing efforts to give back to the community, the art league has been awarding scholarships to art students from South Tahoe High School, Whittell High School and Lake Tahoe Community College each spring over the past several years. Three art students are chosen from each school and awarded money to help further their education. The high school students are awarded $500 each and the community college students are awarded $1,000 each. Winners from Whittell High School are Jacquelyn Baines, Shannon Marshall and Kristen Pfothenhauer. Recipients from South Tahoe High School are Taylor Garcia, Aimee Pitcher and Jacob Rodriquez. LTCC’s award ceremony will be held later this month.

We would like to thank Dr. Forrest Patin and his wife Judy for their generous donations through the art league to help support these scholarships.
