Tahoe Art League to host member exhibit and appreciation night

Tahoe Art League will host its first Annual Valentine Art-themed Masquerade Party on Feb. 12 from 6-9 p.m. at the senior center.

Guests are invited to come dressed as a favorite artist or subject of a famous painting. There will be prizes for Most Outrageous Costume, Truest to Character or Subject and of course, a prize for the best “Death by Chocolate” dessert. There will also be a Silent Auction of beautiful art to benefit the league’s scholarship and art education fund. Attendees are asked to bring a piece of work to exhibit or a work in progress, a few books or magazines to exchange and a food or drink to share.

Admission is free. The event is a member exhibit and appreciation night. The senior center is located at 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd. For more information, visit http://www.talart.org.
