Tahoe Arts Project hosting ‘An evening with Nan Bostick’ tonight

The Tahoe Arts Project is presenting “An Evening with Nan Bostick: From Gaslight Ragtime to Electrified Swing Time,” at 7 p.m. tonight at the South Lake Tahoe Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
Ragtime pianist/historian Nan Bostick takes her auddience on an illustrated, toe-tapping tour of America’s early popular music business as seen through the experience of her “Uncle Charlie,” ragtimera composer/publisher Charles N. Daniels.
The Tahoe Arts Project’s 2009-2010 season is funded in part by grants from the California Arts Council, the Nevada Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Affairs, and the National Endowment of the Arts. The season is also supported by stimulus funding through the Nevada Arts Council’s SNAP grant program.
